Inbox Answer, Radio Interview & Shopping

I'm embarassed to confess that the answer to my question yesterday about how many unanswered messages that were in my inbox is:

14,665 as of the time I wrote the blog. It's up to 14,704 now, because I went out with my friend to Bingo this afternoon, then worked on my manuscript tonight.

That's my business blog. I also have a personal blog which only has 3,119 messages unread.

Enough confessing. Someday maybe I'll get caught up, or maybe not.

Anyway, I won at Bingo, thank goodness. I did need the extra money, since I'd lost twice at the casino and have done a bit of shopping.

Friday, it's the radio station interview at http://www.wjjq.com from 9:35-10am streaming audio if you want to listen - Central Daylight Savings Time, since it's coming from the Tomahawk, Wisconsin radio station.

After that, my friend, Jeanne, and I must go back to Kohl's since we got free money from all our purchases there on Tuesday. $10 for every $50 spent. I ended up with a $40 coupon and she has one for $30, plus we have coupons for 15% off also. If you do the arithmetic, you can tell I spent pretty much at Kohl's, but I also got a lot that day. I couldn't pass up jeans marked down to $8, and tops at $7.99, plus some other clothes and costume jewelry at reasonable prices.

The good thing about it is, unlike at the casino, when you spend money, you always get something back for it. What about you? Do you like to shop on vacation? Or, are you like the DH who basically dislikes shopping and only goes when he absolutely has to? Please share.

  1. I think we're back to "What the heck is a vacation?"

I'll do some shopping, mostly for items unique to that area or country. We usually avoid malls - unless the mall bookstore IS my vacation destination. I'm always on my own then, as my husband claims he's seen enough bookstores to last a lifetime! (And people always wonder why he doesn't accompany me to signings!)

    Your DH is smart!

  2. Whaaaat? Gulp. I think I can stop feeling guilty about the +/- 27 messages and comments left unanswered in my inbox/on my blog comments.

Whew. I feel a lot better now.

  7. Wow, I sure feel better about my inbox now! Glad you had a good shopping trip. I tend to do most of my shopping online now but I like Kohl's too. I shop when at my daughter's, but mostly to get things for the grandkids.

  8. I feel better about my inbox too! Whew - where do you start when there are so many messages? I think I'd probably accidentally hit the 'delete all' button and start over. I have to be in the right mood to shop if I really need something, but I enjoy 'window shopping' anytime.

  9. Holy Rip! Over 14,000 messages in your inbox! Remind me now -and again in the future -if I ever complain or bitch about my inbox getting too crowded or cluttered. Right now, I think I have maybe 20 messages in my inbox which I deliberately have left up there for one reason or another -usually it's a reminder to me that I need to do something with each one -view a video or write a response after I do a little research of some type or other. Even with that small a number of messages left hanging there, I sometimes feel overwhelmed by the volume so I think if I ever got near to the count you have, I would completely go berserk!
