The Kindles are Coming! The Kindles Are Coming!

I've never had a Kindle, but I ordered the lastest, the Kindle 3, as soon as they were available. Today, I received the anxiously awaited message from Amazon - my Kindle has shipped! I'm very excited and have already ordered some kindle books, which Amazon says will magically appear on my Kindle when it arrives. That will be quite a phenomenon. I'm very amazed at such ingenuity.

I'm not the only one excited. The Kindle Korner e-group I belong to is all abuzz with messages about Kindle 3s being shipped. You might say our excitement is at a fever pitch - we're so close to having ours, but don't just yet!

What about you? Do you own a Kindle? Will you buy one?

Gotta go now and see what other kindle books are available, that is, other than my own - Killer Career, Two Wrongs and Girl of My Dreams.

  1. I'm looking for an excuse to order Kindle 3, but my Kindle 1 still works fine. Maybe I can drop it and break it? :-) I think I'll just have to be happy with it a while longer. I love it but of course always want the latest and greatest.

  2. Ok you...I've had a book, The Remains, on the Amazon Hard-boiled and Romantic Suspense bestseller lists, plus "Hot New Release" for 8 weeks, and I still don't own one...But I'm getting mine as an xmas gift:))))

  3. Just charge everything you can to an Amazon credit card, but pay it off monthly, and before you know it, you'll get enough points like I did to pay for the kindle!

I do not own a Kindle. Stillnot sure if I will get an iPad or a Kindle. But first, we need to buy iPhones. Then the eReader.

Have fun with your new toy!

  5. I couldn't justify spending extra money for an IPad when my Amazon card points could get me a kindle. An IPad would be a fun toy, but I already have a laptop computer, which does more than an IPad does.
Also, I don't play games on any of my toys now, including my IPhone, though I see many people on the train doing so.

Anyway, I've tried out the kindle and it's easy on the eye, also claims to be easy for reading outside, which would be great. My computer and Iphone both get glare.
