Open Promo Day - Give Us your Elevator Pitches

Since I'm busy on my WIP again, I thought up an easy blog for today, which may be of interest to many of you. Instead of my writing a bunch of stuff, here's your chance to provide an elevator pitch of one of your books, either already out or to be released. Pretend you're talking to an editor or agent, so make it short, and don't cheat and talk about more than one. Embed your buy link and leave your blog and/or website, so people know where to find out more about you and maybe buy your book!

I'll go first - Killer Career - A career change from lawyer to writer could be a killer for Julie who doesn't realize her mentor participates in his own murder mysteries.

Vengeance Is Sweet- Omara is a demon of vengeance, created to wreak vengeance on those who have harmed or killed innocents and bring the perpetrators' souls to Hell. When she's given the job of "venging" Alejandro Ruiz, her instincts tell her he didn't commit the crime he's accused of of. After seeing him with his daughter Keeley, Omara risks her very existence to prove Alex's innocence.

  6. Okay...so pretend it's a long elevator ride from the bottom of the Empire State Building to the top: Here's my pitch for my Women's Fiction that's looking for a good home.

When an innocent and naïve inmate finds herself smack dab in the middle of an evil scheme concocted by the prison bully, a ten year sentence seems mild when she’s threatened with death for refusing to participate. Can she find a way out of this horrible nightmare, or is she destined to spend her days locked in terror, isolation, and the cold gray interior of prison walls?

  15. Here's my pitch for my new women's fiction novel, Unconditional.

When the highlight of her week is crashing a funeral for a cathartic cry, Meg Flores admits her life is a mess. She is a psychotherapist, after all, and casket chasing is not healthy. Her husband determines he is gay and requests a divorce. Meg moves in with her sister and then learns she is pregnant. And she tries to convince her snowbird parents in Florida that her life is just peachy. She might be safe for a while in her little white lie. At least until her mother’s radar kicks in.

But when Meg’s recently-exed-husband, Thomas, is diagnosed with terminal cancer and his boyfriend takes off, Meg has to decide if she can move past Thomas’s betrayal and love him ‘til-death-do-us-part’.

A scientific breakthrough in Einstein-Rosen Bridges, or wormholes, is stolen by a group of misguided M.I.T. graduate students who wish to usher in a global science-based oligarchy. As the death toll mounts, Chase Manhattan and a multi-faceted cast of characters battle this skilled team of killers on both coasts in a desperate race to control or destroy technology gone too far.
