What's in a Name?

What's in a name? Lots, when it's the title of your book. After I got some feedback about my WIP, tentatively titled My Fear List, I discovered the name wasn't exactly setting the world on fire. A book title is one of the first stepping stones to hooking a reader.

So, now I'm trying to decide on a different title. Another one I thought up is
How I Got This Way.

Which do you like better - My Fear List or How I Got This Way?

  1. Morgan, I'm not sure.
Jane Sutton posted a link last year to a site that when you enter your book's title, it tells you the strength of the title based on many factors. It's really cool. Maybe she remembers that link...

  2. I remember that site and tried to google it but came up empty. Somebody's got to remember it. Hopefully.

  3. How about "What's Your Fear List?" Make it about the reader, not about you.

  4. Actually, I love "What's in a Name?" which is the title of one of my books!

Seriously, the title is the last thing I come up with, and it's an exercise in torture.
