On my way home from work, I heard one guy say to another, "I was living a dream - sleeping in, playing video games and watching TV."
I had to smile at that one. Sure, I like sleeping a little later than usual, but sleeping really long makes me groggy. I'm also not a fan of video games. I must confess that I do like to watch TV, but not as much as I used to. Cable was supposed to improve the selection, but maybe I'm getting jaded. I usually can't find much I like to watch.
If I were living a dream, it would probably be eating whatever I wanted without gaining weight or cholesterol, living in a perfect home and doing what I like best - writing, instead of commuting and working at a day job. If it were rotten weather, I wouldn't have to fight the elements to get to work on time. Of course, the DH and Rascal would also be in the picture and we'd all be healthy and happy.
What about you? What's your dream? Does it involve travel? Raising a family? Writing? Are you already living it?
Please share.
I'm getting closer! Two assistants would help. It's all the detail stuff that bog me down.
ReplyDeleteOh, and riding a roller coaster every single week would help, too!

I'm pretty much living my dream... well, minus making the New York Times Best Seller list and/or Oprah guest segments.
ReplyDeleteI tend to adjust my dreams to the good things in my life. If I can spend time with my family and friends and have something useful to share with others, that fulfills most of my dreams.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of eating without gaining weight. I'd have a maid to do the housework. Bleh, I hate housework. Then I'd be writing all day - woo wee! And getting paid for it, of course.

My dream is to find an agent and have a more successful writing career, on the professional side. On the personal side, my dream is for my daughters to have more comfortable lives (without all of the worries about money, as in, not having any) than I've had and to always have good health. And of course to be happy.

I'm living in a dream world I never thought could exist. I have the friends I've always wanted and an income (ss). I can stay home and write or do beading without someone telling me I have to do this or that. Then, along comes Kadence! My granddaughter makes my world complete.
ReplyDeleteHi Morgan,
ReplyDeleteI love your topic choice. I’m living a dream because my writing career allowed doors to open, professionally and personally. Best of all, I’m surrounded by books and free to live in a fantasy world 24/7.

Currently, I'm working towards living a dream: getting rid of my 9-5 job (again), freelancing smarter, and working writing, publishing, and podcasting fiction into my life. Plus more time with the kids before the little one is in 1st grade! I think achieving a dream life takes time.
