Any Bingo Players Out There?

My friend, Jeanne, already emailed me and asked if I'd like to go to Bingo in LacduFlambeau, so Thursday is Bingo day for me, after hanging up and putting away the clothes and such from the van. The good thing about Bingo is if you lose, it takes longer to lose your money. Not like the casino, where it's gone really fast. Actually, last trip, way in June, I actually won a game. Not enough to retire on, but still exciting.

I'll let you know how I do.

Any Bingo players out there?

  3. Bingo, around here, is usually a pretty good fund raiser type activity for the various fire departments, even some of the local churches too. I like the game but rarely play. Although, one Saturday nite about a year ago now, my daughter, a good friend of hers and her step-mother and I went to a "Midnight Madness" bingo event at a local firehall. Had a ball! Didn't win any money, although my daughter did win a door price -a big ham or turkey (can't recall now which she won). But I was amazed at the cost of playing this game of chance now -my daughter's friend and her step-mother each spent around $50 that night for their cards and games! I think it cost Mandy and I about $20 each but that is way to expensive a pasttime for either of us to indulge in other than maybe once a year but many of those at the games that night played several nights a week. Boggles my mind how people can afford to do things like that!

I haven't played bingo since German class in high school! I wish some folks around here would organize a bingo fundraiser. Sounds like fun.

  5. I used to be a big bingo player. I used to play 5 or 6 nights a week. I kinda miss it.

    I hope you won big.

  6. We lost, but had a lot of fun. Although, we would have had more fun if we hadn't been waiting and the number didn't come in.

It cost me about $55 when the food was added in. There were of course optional games I just had to play anyway. Some of the games I didn't have to buy as many of either, so I probably could have gotten by with $40. Anyway, it kept me away from the casino, which would have cost more money.

That's tomorrow night after the fish fry. Hopefully, I'll do better there, but I can't count on it. That's why it's called gambling.

  7. Thanks for the award Jane. That is a strange coincidence or else you've got psychic powers!
