I heard Thursday that Ning networks are going premium only, meaning network creators have to ante up to keep their networks. This is one network creator who will be bowing out. No way will I be coerced to pay. Can't afford it and don't intend to collect dues from my members. Too much of a hassle.
So, I've started two groups at Facebook, one called Book Place, for the Book Place Ning members, but all book lovers are welcome to join.
The other is Sixty and Savvy, for the Sixty and Savvy Ning members, and all who are near or over 60 or curious about what it's like. We'll share memorabilia, memories, tips, and more.
I invite you to come on over and join us. Just go to the Search box at Facebook and type in one or both of the group names.
Thanks,
Morgan Mandel

Do You Feed Your Blog?
Booksigning Sat, 11/7, Killer Career by Morgan Mandel at Barnes & Noble, 590 E. Golf Rd, Schaumburg - Stop in and say Hi
About Blog Feeding -
Whenever I see an RSS feed available, I use it by filling in my blog name and the url. The result is Double M is carried on many ning networks where I"m a member. Some include http://bookplace.ning.com/ , http://sixtyandsavvy.ning.com/, http://crimespace.ning.com/ and many more.
What about you? Do you feed your blog? Where? How?

Shine Your Light By Morgan Mandel
It doesn't matter if you blog, write a newspaper or magazine article, or even an entire book.
You're the only person that can share what's inside of you. You may have only a few words or sentences to share. What you have to say may only reach one or a few people. If you're fortunate, more. The important thing is someone somewhere is reading your words, sharing your experiences. You could make a difference in that person's life. Make a sad person happy. Make an uncaring person care. Teach someone something new. There are many effects your words can create, even when you don't know it's happening.
So shine your light, be it big or small. It's what you say that counts.

BUSY NIGHT By Morgan Mandel
I've had quite a busy night because my new ning network, Sixty and Savvy, got a great influx of members during the day.
I like to welcome each member personally, so it took me a little while to respond to the new 20 members. I'm not complaining.
When I set up my now popular Book Place, http://bookplace.ning.com , with at last count 1,318 members, I did it because I didn't see any free networks where all aspects of books and their promotion could be explored.
My new network, Sixty and Savvy, also fills a gap. People in the age group of almost Sixty and over need a good place to hang out and share memories, fads, photos, life experiences, plus offer tips to each other. So Sixty and Savvy, located at http://sixtyandsavvy.ning.com, is designed to answer that need. It's still in its infancy, but I have high hopes to reach out to more members and achieve my goal.
If you or someone you know would like to join either or both of my ning networks, you're most welcome to do so. You'll get your own free page, be able to post photos, videos, blogs, comment, private messages, list events, participate in forums, all kinds of opportunities.
Hope to see some of you over there.
