Iphones - Kindle, Stanza

Okay, you may know by now that I love my Iphone. I have mentioned that fact here before. Now Apple and Amazon have given me another reason for loving my Iphone.

A few weeks ago, I uploaded the Stanza app to get ebooks on my Iphone.

Today, I was actually able to upload the Kindle app from Itunes, so now I can get Kindle formatted books from Amazon also. Very convenient and tempting.

Who knows what else lies in the future for my handy Iphone.

What about you - do you read ebooks sometimes, never, often? Would you read one if it were convenient? Please share.

  1. Although I prefer to hold an actual book in my hands, I am open to ebooks. I would love to get a Kindle someday to get the full experience - so I can read ebooks in bed. Right now, I read them on the computer.

Nah not me - I'm a dinosaur. I want to touch, feel and smell a physical book, curl up in an easy chair and turn the pages. But I offer all my books in ebook and Kindle - it's definitely the wave of the future. Unless or until the internet ever crashes.

  6. I have worked in IT for 35 years yet I mainly use my mobile just to tell the time not waring a watch. Loads of people at work have got blackberry's, raspberry's etc. and of course itunes all over the place I stick with the good old car radio download music from Limeware and burn on CD's and that's about it. I guess I need to update myself. I do however find it interesting when somebody has every bit of there information on one electrical piece of equipment then lose it or it breaks =. Whoops aren't I the same with my computer........

  7. If I had an e-reader, I'd read e-books. I have read a book or two on my computer. Am reading one on computer that's a pdf file right now. And, of course, I read books on the computer when I'm editing. I'm hoping the e-reader is easier on the eyes than when I read on the laptop.

  8. Morgan,

I read e-books almost exclusively. The Kindle is much easier to read, and when I want to read in low light/dark, I use my eBookWise reader.

Next week is Read an E-Book Week, a good chance to people who haven't tried e-books to give them a try. I and other bloggers are giving away free e-books during the week. You can learn more at the link below.

  10. I enjoy my Kindle (v. 1) and find it very convenient to use. I still love the feel of books, though.

  11. I do believe I have just come into the age of technology at a time when it is booming! Being older I have learned more now because the technology wasn't even there yet as a teenager.

My adult sons know more about all these new phones and their capabilities. I was blown away when my oldest son (31), said he had read several books off of his iPhone.

Remember, President Obama did most of his campaigning through the internet.

Now that I am a writer I have the option of having my books printed the old fashion way or go the ebook way! What a wonderful time to be living in.

Thanks for sharing, it is always a pleasure visiting and readying your blogs.

  12. I definitely prefer reading an actual book. I can't read at a computer very long at a time without my eyes and head getting weird! Maybe with a Kindle it's easier. That's great you have an Iphone and enjoy it, Morgan! They are quite amazing!

  13. I'm a bit old fashioned and technology challenged. I have read an ebook but I much rather read a traditional book.

  14. Morgan, I have to admit, I have never read an e-book. I have friends who write them, friends that read them on their readers. I have a simple phone--well I might be able to get one there, I have Easyedge, but I've never actually checked. but I doubt I would because it would be too hard to read on a tiny screen. I got my son a MP3 player in December and there is an application for books with creative. I haven't really looked at what's available with the computer. If I read them, it would have to be on my computer.

Usually, the only time I read is before I go to bed and at lunch. the rest of the time, some form of work is happening on the computer.

  15. Morgan, I also wanted to thank you for stopping by today. :-) You have some informative articles archived. I enjoyed them.

I've debated blog radio, but haven't made up my mind on it although some of my friends have one attached to their blogs. I used to do radio and it looks like it's a similar format.
