I wanted nothing to do with country music when I was growing up. My mother and grandmother were always trying to pollute my soundscape with wang-twanging guitars and sad sob stories about D-I-V-O-R-C-E... but as I got older I found a great deal of comfort in country music. Living out in the country, amidst rolling farmland it seems like a natural element these days. Two of my favorites are Toby Keith and Dierks Bentley.
BIG country fan, since way back in 1970. Back then, it was Johnny Cash and the Statler Brothers. Loved Alabama. Saw Trace Adkins here at a concert after a baseball game. Purposely got tickets because I LOVE Trace. I love Alan Jackson, but haven't seen him in concert. Saw Faith and Tim togther, and they were good. But, I saw Johnny Cash three times. Still the best.
Sooooooooooo glad to read you had such a great time at the concert! "The Boys" certainly can put on a good show!!! Rosemary
ReplyDeleteSometimes live concerts aren't as good as the records, but this time the concert was even better!

Last year I got to go to the Grand Ole Opry- it was the best concert venue I'd ever attended.
